2019 was truly the year I learned to love myself. To love my body for how it serves me each and every day. What a GIFT it is to be able to breathe, walk, run, dance, and yes…exercise! So in 2020, I vow to start taking care better care of this body. That may mean cutting back on some Ramen. Ha! Which is not gonna be easy if you saw the massive amounts of ramen my husband bought me for Christmas 😂 🤦🏼‍♀️ And fitness for sure is going to be a priority for me. A huge part of me learning to love myself this last year was realizing what a gift it is to have a body that I’m able to move and exercise with in the first place. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ❤️ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I guess I’m sharing so that anybody out there hoping to be a better version of themself in this new decade, I hope you’re also able to appreciate and love yourself as you are RIGHT now. Because I truly believe that personal change needs to come from a place of love. I heard this quote from someone the other day, you know who you are 😉, instead of focusing on becoming a NEW you try to focus on becoming more of the REAL you. Wishing you all the absolute best 2020 and beyond. Love you guys ❤️

“Exercise is a celebration of what our bodies can do. Not a punishment for what we ate” – One of my instructors told me this quote recently and it really resonated with me. Especially this week when my body and poor Molly‘s body have been struggling. I exercise because I care about my body and I want to celebrate that it functions and moves and allows me to live my life! And keeps me HEALTHY most of the time!!!! I want to treat it right. Exercise to celebrate you and that amazing body of yours! Not to punish it. Thank you for the inspiration @mylifemysweat ❤️ And please send all the good vibes our way. Molly had some CBC blood work done today to try to figure out if what she’s going through is more than the flu. Fingers crossed it’s not and that her body heals quickly so she can run around (aka exercise for kids) and celebrate everything her amazing little body can do!

I exercised this morning, I ate healthy and nutritious meals, and I drank so much water that I definitely peed every hour on the hour. Proud of myself and this incredible body of mine. Body image is an important topic to discuss. I’m realizing that now more than ever. But so is health. I’ll always strive to be accepting of my body as long as I’m taking care of it. Because at the end of the day it doesn’t matter what my body looks like but it ABSOLUTELY matters how healthy my body is. I want to be a good example to my kids, and I want to be a strong and healthy parent so I can live as long as possible to be here for them. Today, I’m a so dang proud of this body of mine. And I vow to try to treat it better both physically and mentally for my children, and for my husband (because they need me), but most importantly for me. ❤️ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #SelfLove #BodyImage #alimanno #LoveYourself #Tummy #TummyRolls #happy #postpartumbody #postpartumbelly
