Prosessia kutsutaan glukoneogeneesiksi. Lisäksi proteiinipirtelöissä on todella paljon keinotekoisia makeutusaineita, jotka addiktoivat ja huijaavat aivoja syömään liikaa, Max Lowery kertoo Business Insiderille.

Hän ei ole juonut koskaan ensimmäistäkään proteiinipirtelöä. Sen sijaan tikissä kuosissa oleva mies suosii kahden lämpimän ruoan pätkäpaastodieettiä, joka on nimeltään 2 Meal Day. Hänen mukaansa ihminen saa tarvittavat ravintoaineet terveellisistä aterioista. Proteiinipirtelöt sopivat parhaiten esimerkiksi vegaaneille tai kaksi kertaa päivässä treenaaville ammattiurheilijoille. Kuitenkin 90 prosenttia ihmisistä nauttii niitä turhaan.

– Proteiiniravinteet ovat miljoonabisnes. Niitä markkinoivat fitness-alan ihmiset ja vaikuttajat saavat tuotteiden mainostamisesta rahaa. He vetoavat ihmisten tunteisiin. Valitettavasti nämä henkilöt eivät ole saavuttaneet ulkonäköään tai tuloksiaan proteiinipirtelöiden ansiosta, Lowery napauttaa.

– He näyttävät lihaksikkailta, koska treenaavat kovasti ja syövät terveellisesti. Ei ole oikotietä timmiin ulkonäköön ja terveyteen. Älä siis tuhlaa rahojasi syötävään jauheeseen. Syö oikeaa ruokaa!

#SQUATDEPTH • 🤔 A lot of people ask me why I perform exercises with full range of motion. For some reason, people have been lead to believe that it can be dangerous. • 🤯 IMO full range of motion should be the default for any exercise. • 🤸🏻‍♀️ If you cannot perform an exercise with full ROM then you should be doing specific flexibility and mobility work to allow you to do the exercise freely. • 😇 Do not even consider adding load to an exercise if you cannot perform the exercise with control and full ROM unloaded. • Performing half reps can help with hypertrophy and athletic performance but IMO if you only do half reps you will end up with joint restrictions and incredibly tight muscles🙅‍♂️ 🙅‍♀️. • 🙀 Additionally, half reps can be more dangerous. There are various studies that suggest there is more stress on the knees in a half squat than a full squat and people often load the bar with more weight in a half squat because they are easier – which can increase the risk of injury if you aren’t strong enough. • I would love to hear your thoughts on this👇. #squat #bar #FullROM #strength
