Helppoa ja herkullista! Yhdistä vuohenjuusto ja omena piirakkaan

Lifestyle Ruoka · Terhi Piiroinen

Happy Sunday wine lovers!! I promised you a pairing for the @gerardbertrandwines Côte des Roses I featured yesterday and here she is! ⠀⠀ ✨ Goat Cheese & Caramelized Shallot Tarts with Walnuts, Fresh Thyme & Honey✨ ⠀⠀ What is it about goat cheese and thyme that goes so perfectly with French rosé? ⠀⠀ These tarts are SO EASY to make, they will become a go-to appetizer for get togethers with friends or weekend brunch! ⠀⠀ You’ll need: – 1 Sheet frozen pre-made puff pastry – 3 shallots – 8 oz goat cheese – 1/2 cup walnuts – fresh thyme sprigs – 1 egg – olive oil – red wine vinegar – salt – honey ⠀⠀ 1️⃣ Pre-heat oven to 400F. Cut shallots using a rolling chop so you have uneven pieces that are not too thin. Place in a baking dish, drizzle with olive oil + splash of red wine vinegar. Season w salt and a couple thyme sprigs. Roast in oven for 30 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes to avoid browning. Remove from oven. 2️⃣ Pre-heat oven to 425F. Frozen puff pastry will need to thaw in refrigerator before hand. Remove 1 sheet and roll out the puff pastry sheet to almost double the size (dusting w flour as necessary). You should be able to get 6 5-inch circles from the sheet. I used a small pot lid to cut the circles. 3️⃣ Gently score a 1/4 inch boarder within each of the circles using a 🔪. 4️⃣ Crush the walnuts in a plastic bag using your rolling pin. Fill the puff pastry circles with caramelized shallots, walnuts, and 1.5-2tbsp goat cheese each. Sprinkle remaining shallots on top. 5️⃣ Make an egg wash by scrambling the egg with a splash of water. Brush the puff pastry boarder with the egg wash. Drizzle a bit of honey over all. 6️⃣ Bake in 425F oven for 18-20 minutes until edges are golden brown. 7️⃣ Drizzle with more honey and sprinkle on some fresh thyme. Enjoy with your rosé of choice! Also delicious with a glass of bubbly, Pinot Noir & Gamay! . . . #foodandwine #winepairings #winepairing #wineblogger #winebloggers #foodblogger #foodbloggers #f52grams #f52 #goatcheese #frenchrosé #frenchrose #walnuts #tart #goatcheesetart #rosé #languedoc #languedocroussillon #puffpastry #puffpastryrecipes #roséallday #roséallyear #cheers #winelover #goodeats #appetizers
